{ Booking Made Easy }

You just got engaged and the excitement of wedding planning is in full swing! You're trying to make a checklist for the things you need to accomplish before your big day but you're not quiet sure exactly how far in advance you should begin looking for a venue. We have a few tips for you to keep your wedding timeline on track!

When is the best time to book a venue? six months? Nine months? A year in advance? Honestly, the sooner the better in our opinion. One of the first things you want to accomplish after you get engaged is selecting your venue. The Walters Barn is a perfect option for couples who are looking for a large venue with an amazing view. Once you have your venue booked and your date you can take a little more time to enjoy your engagement period, but everything else you do hinges on selecting a venue and a date so be sure to make this your number one priority!

The best time to book The Walters Barn would be between nine months to a year before your big day. This allows for more options when selecting a date for your wedding and it will give you more time to select your other wedding vendors without feeling rushed. Booking this far in advance allows you to be able to have multiple consultations with your wedding coordinator and make sure every detail is perfect for your big day! If you are looking to get married in the Fall or Spring at Walters Barn, we suggest leaning more towards booking a year out! Our colander fills up quickly and once you see the view, you'll know why! :)

The Walters Barn is a spacious option that sits 200 guests comfortably while still including a dance floor. This is a perfect option for couples who plan on having a large number of guests in attendance. However, if you are looking to have a smaller wedding for about 100 of your closest friends and family, the barn can be set to your perfect intimate wedding without being too crowded! The Barn interior is unique and includes one of a kind light fixtures that were created from old chicken feeders which create a magical twinkly light effect. The light colored wooden interior complements any and all wedding decor.

Don't have a particular day or season that you prefer to get married in and want to stay within your budget? At The Walters Barn we offer Sunday & Friday weddings for a discounted price compared to a Saturday wedding. This is a perfect option for couples who fall in love with this venue but would like to save as much money as possible to stay within budget.

Searching for a venue that offers a bridal suite? The Walters Barn is known for its beautiful and spacious bridal suite which is perfect for larger bridal parties. It is directly across the street from the venue which insures that the groom has no sneak peaks of the beautiful bride before it's go time. Also, what bride doesn't love photos of their girl gang getting ready?

One of the main reasons that couples choose The Walters Barn is because of the amazing scenery. We have three different lakes on the property including a lake side ceremony site. One of the other lakes has a dock with a gazebo which is the perfect place for a secluded first look between you and your future hubby. The property is over 600 acres which means there are plenty of places for beautiful and fun photo ops. Some of our favorite spots include the gravel drive when you enter the venue, the pastures, or even in the woods. Oh! We can't forget Jack the donkey! He's very photogenic.

Weddings that are in the months of January, February, March, July and December can often times be a little cheaper because they are not peak wedding season months. If you plan to have your wedding inside these are perfect months to book in order to save a little money.

Your perfect day is all about you and your fiancé and the love you have for one another. Choose a wedding venue that compliments your personalities and that falls within the perfect price range for your budget. Selecting a venue can be stressful but don't let that steal your wedding bliss. Begin looking for venues and enjoy the adventure of wedding planning. Happy Planning!
