Mary Rose + John Carr -- what a S W E E T couple they were to work with! There was never a time during their Big Day that we didn't see either one of them not smiling! We reached out to Mary Rose for her to share her experiences with us at The Walters Barn -- Continue reading to see what she said!
"We met on the app Bumble. Exactly 4 years ago!! Our first date was a dinner date at Murphey’s in Virginia Highlands." Fast forward to today, Mary Rose + John have been together almost 4 years!
- The Proposal Story -
"We went up to his parents’ lake house at Lake Lanier for the weekend. That Friday we took the boat out for a ride and he parked the boat in the middle of the lake and he proposed there. He knew I wanted our engagement to be quiet and intimate, so it was just the two of us and our dog there for the proposal, but he planned a lunch gathering for both of our families up at the lake on the day after the proposal."
Many brides struggle with the stress & burden of planning a wedding. However, Mary Rose's experience was quite the opposite! Mary Rose told us, "The planning process was as painless as I can imagine it being. Brittany was a huge help in every aspect of planning!"
"I thought my wedding day was perfect! My husband and I had so much fun, and I think all of our guests did too (especially all of our nephews!) The band was great, and the florals were beautiful. Everything definitely surpassed my expectations!"
"Our lives haven’t changed much since we got married, because we had already created a nice life together before officially tying the knot, but I haven’t had time to change my name yet, so I am enjoying people’s confusion over my last name being Darr and my husband’s being Carr."
